The generosity from these organizations came as part of their philanthropic partnership. In addition to the donations, Subaru Loves to Care and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society also delivered to patients messages of hope. These are all meant to provide warmth, comfort and brighten the day for cancer patients.

As the largest automotive donor to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Subaru has been working to help patients battling blood cancer.

“We truly appreciate this gesture put towards our patients,” NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens CEO Neil J. Moore said.

For seven years, Subaru and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society have worked together to try and bring love and hope to these patients in the form of warm blankets and handwritten notes of encouragement from Subaru retailers and customers. Subaru estimates that by the end of 2022, it will have brought over 230,000 blankets, 31,000 arts and crafts kits and thousands of messages of hope to patients.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is the global leader in the fight against blood cancers, investing more than $1.5 billion since 1949. The organization brings new therapies to patients and advances cancer research and treatments at a rapid speed, including next-generation immunotherapies and precision medicine.

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is the leading source of free blood cancer information, education and support. They provide one-on-one assistance to help patients, survivors, caregivers, families and healthcare professionals when it’s needed most. Additionally, they fight for policy changes to ensure patients have access to quality, affordable care.
