The Long Island Mediterranean restaurant chain Wild Fig opened up a new location Monday at 41-17 Bell Blvd. in Bayside. It becomes the latest restaurant to open up on the busy street, which has attracted a lot of people due in large part to the diverse and delicious food located there.

According to the new location’s manager, Sevda Vila, business there has already been booming. She also expects Independence Day weekend to be very big for the store. Additionally, the store intends to advertise the new location to Bayside residents.

“I’ve spent 16 years working for Wild Fig,” Vila said. “I’ve always loved interacting with the customers. It brings me great joy and pride to make them happy.”

While there are already a bunch of employees at the new location, Vila said she’s still looking to hire more workers. One specific area of need at the moment is delivery drivers.

The Mediterranean food available at Wild Fig is all made from scratch. They do not use any fryers or freezers for their food, ensuring it is all fresh. Customers can build their own meals from the array of food options available in addition to choosing from the menu. The restaurant aims to blend traditions of the past with today’s fast-paced life through the dining experience.

In addition to the new location at 41-17 Bell Blvd., the restaurant has locations on Long Island in Roslyn and New Hyde Park. The Roslyn location can be found at 1085 Northern Blvd. while the New Hyde Park location is at 1468 Union Tpke.
