Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr. is bringing programs and services directly to southeast Queens residents through the inaugural iteration of “Borough Hall on Your Block,” beginning Monday, Aug. 22.

The weeklong initiative will bring a litany of public programs, such as resource and job fairs, youth events, a town hall and much more to communities across southeast Queens. The event directly connects area families with not only the government services they need but the individualized attention they deserve from Richards and his staff.

Richards first announced the “Borough Hall on Your Block” initiative during his 2022 State of the Borough address in June.

“My office is determined to build a relationship with everyone who calls this borough home, and that means meeting Queens families right where they are. With Borough Hall on Your Block, we look forward to making sure no one goes unseen or unheard,” Richards said. “I’m proud to begin this innovative initiative in southeast Queens, home to communities that have been historically overlooked, as we work to build a stronger, fairer Queens one week at a time.”
