Man sought in North Corona road rage assault: NYPD

Police from the 115th Precinct in Jackson Heights are looking for a man who slashed a motorist in broad daylight during a road rage incident in North Corona last week.

The attack occurred just after 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, when the suspect began arguing with a driver who was blocking the road in front of 32-37 112th Street with his van, police said. The assailant got out of his car and allegedly broke the victim’s driver side window with his fist and then slashed him on the elbow with a knife causing a minor laceration, according to the NYPD.

The suspect took off in a white Nissan Rogue in an unknown direction, according to authorities.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

The NYPD released a surveillance video of the assault. The man was seen wearing a white T-shirt, red shorts and white sneakers.
