The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) announced closures at the Exit 1W Ramp from southbound Van Wyck Expressway (I-678) to westbound Belt Parkway in Queens, on or about Wednesday, Aug. 3, through approximately Monday, Aug. 15.

Closures are scheduled for Wednesdays through Fridays from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. each morning. Weekend closures will last from Friday evenings at 8 p.m. and continue through Monday mornings at 5 a.m.

Motorists wanting to access westbound Belt Parkway during these closures should take Exit C (Federal Circle) and follow the signed detour.

Inclement weather could cause these closures to be rescheduled.

These closures are necessary for work on NYSDOT’s $13 million pavement preservation project that is happening in Queens, Brooklyn and Richmond counties.
