A 15-year-old boy was groped by a stranger as he waited for a 7 train inside the Jackson Heights transit hub last week.

Police from the 115th Precinct and Transit District 20 are on the lookout for an unidentified man who approached the teen as he was standing in the northbound platform inside the 74th Street Roosevelt Avenue subway station at around 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16.

The suspect forcibly grabbed the victim’s crotch area over his clothing before running off in an unknown direction, police said, adding that the teen was not injured as a result of the incident.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect on Sept. 18 and described him as having a medium complexion with dark curly hair, a short beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a red and white T-shirt, dark jeans and white sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
