A 60-year-old woman was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight on a quiet residential street in Maspeth Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 5, according to authorities.

Police from the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood are on the lookout for a young man who approached the victim in front of 53-48 69th St. just before 3 p.m., brandished a silver handgun, and forcibly removed the woman’s shoulder bag.

The suspect jumped into a red Toyota Camry that was double-parked nearby and drove off traveling southbound on 69th Street. The license plates on the getaway car are unknown, according to an NYPD spokeswoman, who said that the stolen shoulder bag contained the woman’s cellphone and around $100 in cash.

The woman was not harmed in the incident, the spokeswoman said.

The suspect wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and a dark-colored baseball cap, light-colored pants, and white sneakers.
