JFKIAT, the operator of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport, has raised and donated $150,000 to support 15 Queens nonprofit organizations and institutions through its 4GOOD program, which serves local institutions through philanthropic and sustainable actions.

“As a local business based in Queens, giving back to those around us is at the core of our mission,” said Roel Huinink, president & CEO of JFKIAT. “Each of these organizations are integral to our community, providing vital resources and support that have a profound impact in our borough. We are grateful to each of our partners for making these contributions possible and we are very proud to support these organizations and their efforts through our 4GOOD program.”

Each organization, selected through an application process, provides community aid, local business support, education, and mental health resources — pillars that are integral to JFKIAT’s philanthropic priorities. JFKIAT presented one-time donations of $10,000 to each organization to support their work to strengthen the local community.

This year’s donation recipients include August Martin High School; Baisley Pond Park; Bethany Baptist Church; Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens; Breast Cancer Awareness; Farmingdale State College; The Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York; Greater Jamaica Development Corporation; Jamaica Center Business Improvement District; LGBT Network; LIFE Camp, Inc.; Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology; Venture House; Virgil I. Grissom Middle School; and York College – CUNY Aviation Institute.

Aimed at promoting educational, social, and professional success, JFKIAT’s 4GOOD program consists of two components: community (corporate philanthropy) and sustainability (environment). Corporate resources include financial contributions, charitable giving, employee volunteering and community outreach.

Since its launch in 2016, JKIAT’s 4GOOD program has distributed approximately $100,000 annually in funds for charities, organized events at Terminal 4 and worked closely with several organizations in Queens. In 2022, JFKIAT raised a total of $200,000 through 4GOOD to aid the Queens community, donating critical funds to local nonprofit organizations that provide community support, local business support and education.
