Second man busted in 2021 shooting outside Woodside strip club: NYPD

A Brooklyn man was arrested Tuesday, Dec. 27, at the 114th Precinct in Astoria and charged with attempted murder and other crimes concerning a shooting outside a Woodside strip club last year.

Ancelmo Biscain, 31, of Euclid Avenue in East New York, is the second man arrested in a shooting incident outside the Starlets Gentlemen’s Club after a Queensbridge Houses.

The shooting occurred just before 3 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021, when an argument broke out between a group of men in front of the strip club located at 49-09 25th Ave. near the Brooklyn Queens Expressway.

One of the men pulled out a handgun and opened fire, striking two people. A 32-year-old was shot in his leg and a 25-year-old was shot in the arm, according to the NYPD. The two assailants fled on foot in an unknown direction.

EMS responded to the crime scene and transported the two victims to Elmhurst Hospital Center, both listed in stable condition.

Carl Austin, 23, from the Queensbridge Houses in Long Island City was arrested in May and charged with attempted murder and other crimes.

An NYPD spokesman was unable to provide additional information on the Biscain arrest, confirming he was taken into custody at the 114th Precinct and booked on attempted murder, assault, two counts of criminal possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment. His arraignment is pending.
