A 630-seat school building is slated to go up at 146-50 Reeves Ave., according to the New York City School Construction Authority.

Permits were filed by the NYC School Construction Authority in March for a 4-story building at 146-50 Reeves Ave. in Kew Gardens Hills. The school building will be an annex for John Bowne High School, located less than one mile away from the development, at 63-25 Main St. in Flushing.

This proposed development is expected to be 66 feet tall and have four floors. There will also be a 30-foot-long rear yard.

According to a spokesperson from the New York City School Construction Authority, a 630-seat annex will be built there for John Bowne High School. While the project is currently being designed, it is expected to be completed in September 2027.

Some of the features of the development will be a cellar and 69 open parking spaces.

Since the location is currently just a vacant lot, demolition permits will not be needed for this project.

The New York City-based architectural firm PKSB Architects is listed as the architect of record for this project.
