Police in Queens are looking for the suspect who slashed a man after getting into an argument on a bus earlier this month.
On Saturday, the NYPD released video footage of the perpetrator behind the attack, which occurred at about 7:35 p.m. on Aug. 3 near the corner of Merrick Boulevard and 231st Street in Laurelton.
According to law enforcement sources, the attacker got into a dispute with the victim, a 52-year-old man, as they rode a Q5 bus heading westbound on Merrick Boulevard.
Both men departed the bus at 231st Street and continued their argument, which eventually erupted into a physical fight, police reported. During the struggle, the suspect pulled out a sharp object and slashed the man on the head, then fled on foot southbound along 231st Street.
The incident was reported to the 105th Precinct. EMS rushed the wounded man to Jamaica Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police described the suspect as a man with a dark complexion. In the video, he is shown wearing a black du-rag, a tanktop, ripped jean shorts and sandals with socks.
