Bibi & Jd’s Barbershop was founded in July 2020 by owners Jose Campos and Esmerlin Ramirez. Funded with their life’s savings and loans from friends and family, the project comes to life in times of COVID-19 and it’s born from the owners strong desire to contribute to the local community’s economic recovery efforts in Woodside Queens, and their mission to change the barbershop culture fostering an environment that is welcoming to a diverse crowd inclusive of age, race, gender identity and sexual orientation. At Bibi & Jd’s Barbershop, we understand what it’s like to feel uncomfortable walking into a place of service for the first time and not be greeted or acknowledged, and having experienced these behaviors first hand, we are making it our mission to change the culture for the better, adopting an inclusive customer-centric approach where the customer experience is our number one priority. Furthermore, we are committed to creating a place where everyone, regardless of who they are, what they look like and where they come from, are made to feel welcomed. We hope our message resonates with you and can stop by and visit us.
