The Queens Couriers other contribution to this fascinating mayoral election year is a retrospective of the 1989 mayoral candidate interviews which give individual excerpts of comments by three people who would become Mayor of New York then-Mayor Ed Koch, future Mayor David Dinkins and present Mayor Rudy Giuliani. These two programs present an eye-opener on both present and past hopes for our borough and City.
The interview with Queens Board of Ed rep Terri Thomson will be aired at our regular Friday night time of 8 p.m. on channel 34 (Time Warner Cable). The "three Mayors" special will be aired on Mon. Apr. 30 at 7:30p.m. on Queens Public Television, channel 34.
The moderator for all of the programs is David Oats, editor-in-chief of The Queens Courier.The shows were by Oats and QPTV executive director Nancy Littlefield. The director was Bob Strahle.
