A one-story building on Vernon Boulevard could soon be brought down for development.
Plans were filed with the Department of Buildings yesterday to demolish the one-story brick building at 47-01 Vernon Blvd. The lot, which includes space for parking along 47th Avenue, has been occupied by Charge and Ride, a limo and car service company, for several decades.
A company representative said the business is relocating, and that the Vernon Boulevard location is already closed.

The demolition plans were filed by Circle F Capital, a real estate firm based in Manhattan. The firm is behind several developments in the area, including a planned 11-story mixed-use condo building on the same block as the Court Square Diner, yet to come to fruition. It is also planning another condominium project at the former zipper factory on 5-33 48th Avenue.
Property records, however, do not yet show information on the Vernon Boulevard sale. Compass, the real estate brokerage, has the property’s sale price listed at $7.25 million.
Circle F Capital did not immediately respond to questions about its plans for the site.
