An Astoria bike store is holding a wheelie competition Sunday along Shore Boulevard.
From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Bike Stop, at 37-19 28th Ave., will be holding a contest for those who can ride their bikes with the front tire off the ground along Astoria Park. The boulevard will be closed for the event and there will be live music by Focho.
The store suggests prospective competitors should wear a helmet and that they have a wald No. 157 basket installed on their bikes to ride.
