Today marks the start of New York City Restaurant Week, where hundreds of eating establishments in the city offer deals to diners.
From January 14 through February 9 (Saturdays are excluded and Sundays are optional) participating restaurants have special prix-fixe menus with a three-course lunch for $25 and dinner for $38. Those prices exclude beverages, gratuities and taxes.
The biannual Restaurant Week also happens in the summer.
Over 300 restaurants are involved in this winter’s event. Most of the dining establishments are in Manhattan, but one Queens restaurant, Water’s Edge, located at 401 44th Drive in Long Island City, is taking part in it.
