Police charge Queens residents with watching drag race: DA

MASPETH — Police arrested six people this week and charged four with drag racing and two Queens residents with watching the race in Maspeth April 6, the Queens district attorney said.

Michael Rivera, 21, of Manhattan; 19-year-old Shawn Marr, of Uniondale, L.I.; 25-year-old Michael James, of Brooklyn; and 23-year-old Antonio Nolesco, of Manhattan, were charged with driving their vehicles in a drag racing contest along Laurel Hill Boulevard between 48th and 58th streets around 1:15 a.m., the DA’s office said.

Edgar Lozano, 26, of Jamaica, and Edward Henry, 21, of St. Albans, were charged as spectators, the DA’s office said.

The DA’s office said the 108th Precinct broke up the race and seized four vehicles and cellphones.
