The Blau Weiss Gottschee U19 boys team after they beat undefeated South Bronx United.

The Blau Weiss Gottschee (BWG) U19 boys soccer team battled undefeated South Bronx United in a Cosmopolitan Junior Soccer League (CJSL) game, and came away with a 3-1 win. It took less than five minutes for Nico Vasilakos to find the back of the net and striker Chris Kilcarr added another goal before South Bronx got on the board on a free kick. BWG’s Vasilakos scored his second goal, and that was enough to give BWG the victory. Next week BWG will head to Brooklyn to take on Brooklyn United.

The BWG U8 Blue played a good game against their counterparts from Brooklyn, the SC Gjoa. BWG won the game 3-2.

The BWG U9 White team lost against Chelsea Piers 2-3. Marco Bogdanovic and Lautaro Artigala each scored a goal in the loss.

The Korabi Eagles defeated the BWG 2004 White team by a score of 1-3, while the BWG Royals 2004 won their game against Islas Malvinas, 2-0.

The BWG girls U9 Blue team celebrated two victories this weekend. The girls advanced to the NY Cup semifinals with a 3-1 win against the Syosset Red Hots on Saturday. Stefanie Stimpfl scored two goals and Eva Gonzalez contributed one. They also defeated Busby SA Thunder in league play on Sunday, with Abby Jalocha scoring the lone goal for the 1-0 win.

The BWG girls U10 won their game against Samba 4-1. Ashley Kieblesz scored a hat trick and Erika Strumpf added one goal in the win.
