A family car ride turned tragic in Bayside Wednesday night when a Flushing mother and her 10-year-old child were killed after a speeding car collided with their vehicle, police said.

The crash, on 210th Street near 64th Avenue, also sent 42-year-old Susana Ha’s parents and her 8-year-old daughter to the hospital, according to authorities.

An investigation by police determined that the crash happened at about 6 p.m. as a Ford Explorer driven by a 46-year-old woman started speeding northbound on 210th Street, veered to the left and crossed the double yellow line, striking the left side of the family’s Toyota Camry.

The Camry, with Ha’s 74-year-old father behind the wheel, then mounted the sidewalk before striking a tree stump and then a fire hydrant, police said.

All five occupants of the Camry’s occupants were taken to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where Ha and her daughter, Angelica Ung, were pronounced dead. Ha’s father is listed in stable condition, while her 67-year-old mother and 8-year-old daughter are in critical condition.

The driver of the Ford Explorer was also transported to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she is listed in stable condition.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash and have made no arrests.
