GoHealth Urgent Care centers kick off flu shot charity program

By Tom Momberg

GoHealth Urgent Care, a North Shore-LIJ extension of same-day health care services, is offering $20 flu shots at each of its locations, three of which are in Queens.

In an effort to battle the influenza virus in the metropolitan area, GoHealth said its flu shot program would be an opportunity to also give back to local charities as they prepare for the toughest season.

GoHealth said it would donate $5 from each shot administered to volunteer management organizations Long Island Cares and New York Cares, which coordinate programs for 1,300 nonprofits, city agencies and public schools.

In addition to the flu shots for individuals, GoHealth is offering prepaid shot bundles of 25, 50 or 100 to employers to give to their employees, redeemable at any location.

The Ridgewood GoHealth center is located at 55-05 Myrtle Ave. The LeFrak City location is at 58-28 99th St., in Corona. And GoHealth’s Forest Hills location is located at 102-29 Queens Blvd.
