Rabsky Group, a Brooklyn-based development company, doubled the amount of units it will build at its 18-story residential project in Long Island City last week.

Permits for the project were first filed in February, when the company originally planned to construct a 14-story, 99-unit building. The project will now consist of 195 units and 140,000 square feet, up from 135,000 feet.

The project, dubbed Crescent Street, is actually located at 41-20 27th St. ODA New York is the architecture firm responsible for the design.  The Real Deal first reported the story.

A previously scheduled 20,000-square-foot commercial component will now only measure 2,888 square feet, according to plans filed with the DOB. The building will be completed by summer 2017.

An existing two-story structure sits on the lot and must be demolished before construction on Crescent Street can begin.
