The LIC Flea & Food’s Queens Holiday Market is helping to bring holiday cheer to Glendale.

With the outdoor flea season finished in Long Island City, the popular market will be sponsoring the Christmas tree lighting at The Shops at Atlas Park, located at 8000 Cooper Ave., on Friday, Dec. 4. The event will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m., with the lighting scheduled at 8 p.m.

During the lighting ceremony there will be caroling, giveaways and a special visit from Santa.

Guests can also enjoy the VIP Queens Holiday Night Market from 6 to 10 p.m. where they can find great gifts for the holiday season. Shoppers will be able to find unique, handcrafted items at the market, including photographs, sculptures, jewelry, clothing and works from different artists. There will also be an arcade set up for all to enjoy.

Visitors will be able to fill their bellies with fantastic food offerings from the LIC Flea vendors, as well as an all-Queens beer garden.

“The Queens Holiday Market is thrilled to support the annual Shops at Atlas Park Christmas Tree Lighting. This is a perfect addition to our market situated just steps away from our premier destination for shopping, eating and fun,” said Joshua Schneps, LIC Flea president. “We look forward to welcoming the local community and entire borough to enjoy the tree lighting and our first-ever indoor Night Market.”

Beginning at the end of November, the LIC Flea will be hosting an indoor holiday market at the Shops at Atlas Park. The holiday market will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in a 25,000-square-foot space that will transform into a mecca for shopping, eating and playing.

The holiday market will run from Nov. 28 through Dec. 20. There is still time to register to become a vendor at licflea.com.
