Police seeking man who stole guitar worth more than $4K from LIC Guitar Center

Police are looking for a man who stole a guitar from a Guitar Center in Long Island City.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who stuffed a custom Gibson guitar valued at $4,650 under his shirt and fled a Guitar Center in Long Island City.

The suspect made his getaway on Oct. 18 at 3:50 p.m. at the 34-17 48th St. location, police said.

Authorities described him as a white male believed to be 30 years old, standing 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. During the burglary, he was observed wearing a plaid, gray, long-sleeved shirt over a black T-shirt with a white chest design, blue jeans, black sneakers and glasses.
