BRIARWOOD—Police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted a 23-year-old man in an alley next to the H2O Nightclub at 153-33 Hillside Ave. in Briarwood last weekend.

At about 4 a.m. Feb. 20, the victim was steered into an alley next to the nightclub by an apprehended suspect, according to the police.

After entering the alley, the suspect being sought proceeded to display and discharge a firearm into the victim, striking him in the abdomen, police said.

EMS responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he is now in stable condition, officials said.

The suspect was described by the police as a black man with cornrows and approximately 5-foot-11 tall.

No additional arrests have been made and the investigation was ongoing, according to a police spokeswoman.
