Surveillance video shows gunman who held up a Sunnyside jewelry store for $15K

An armed robber made off with $15,000 in valuables from a jewelry store in Sunnyside on Friday afternoon, police reported.

According to police, the gunman entered the A.D.L. Jewelers, located at 39-38 Queens Blvd., at 3:40 p.m. where he displayed a firearm and demanded gold, diamonds and watches from the 39-year-old male jeweler.

The employee complied with the request and provided jewelry to the crook, who fled on foot eastbound down Queens Boulevard, officers from the 108th Precinct said.
