Filming of TV series ‘BrainDead’ moves from Whitestone to Ridgewood. Watch a teaser

The “BrainDead” love Queens!

Earlier this week, the new CBS comic-thriller series filmed stunts and crime scenes in Whitestone. Next, the cast and crew is moving into Ridgewood.

On May 3, neighbors of 47-40 Metropolitan Ave. can expect the new series to be shooting scenes in the area at different times during the day between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Various dialogue scenes will be filmed in the vicinity of nearby Western Beef supermarket and Bun-ker Vietnamese restaurant. Cast and crew members are scheduled to meet Monday, May 2, at 10 p.m. at Woodward and Metropolitan avenues.

Residents of  Metropolitan and Woodward Avenues should bear in mind that parking request appeals have been arranged for the following locations:

  • the north and south sides of a half-block of Metropolitan Avenue between Woodward and Flushing avenues; and
  • the east and west sides of Woodward Avenue between Metropolitan Avenue and the LIRR Bushwick line.

“BrainDead” follows a young, fresh-faced Capitol Hill staffer who gets her first job in Washington, D.C., only to discover two things: The government has stopped working, and alien spawn have come to Earth and eaten the brains of a growing number of Congressmen and Hill staffers.

The comic thriller series from CBS was created by “The Good Wife” creators and executive producers Robert and Michelle King is slated to premiere summer 2016.
