The most influential businesswomen and community leaders in Queens will be recognized during QNS and Star Network “Queens Power Women in Business” networking and awards event Tuesday, June 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Terrace on the Park, located at 52-11 111th St. in Flushing.

For more than a dozen years, the Queens Power Women in Business event has specifically honored those individuals in Queens who make a profound impact on the borough, whether in business, community, charities, health or education.

This year’s special recipient of the Outstanding Service Award will be Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul.

“As the founder of the leading publication in Queens and many other prominent publications throughout the borough, Brooklyn and Long Island, I’ve been fortunate enough to work with the foremost businesswomen of Queens and witness their remarkable accomplishments,” said Queens Courier Publisher Victoria Schneps, the founder of the Queens Power Women in Business. “I created the event as a way of recognizing these incredible individuals, who might not otherwise get the attention they deserve.”

The 2015 affair drew nearly 1,000 of the most influential people and community leaders in the city to mingle, exchange business cards and share in celebrating their peers. No other event in the borough gathers so many powerful individuals, making Queens Power Women in Business the most anticipated networking event of the year and one not to be missed.

The 2016 gala will be sponsored by Investors Bank, TD Bank, Astoria Bank, Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Northwell Health, Flushing Bank, National Grid, Sandwire, The NYCB Family of Banks, Queens Hospital Center, Elmhurst Hospital Center and The Queens Courier.
