With Father’s Day coming up this weekend on Sunday, June 19, you can show Dad the best time right here in Queens on his special day.

Start your day by taking Dad out to brunch at The Avenue Bar and Grill, located at 71-22 Myrtle Ave. in Glendale. Whether you’re craving breakfast or lunch, The Avenue has a special brunch menu full of delicious items such as their Avenue Omelette or their Signature Sauce Burger. The best part? Every meal comes with a free Screwdriver, Bloody Mary, Tequila Sunrise or another cocktail.

Burn off those calories you just ate by taking a stroll through beautiful Forest Park. Visit the historic carousel, hike down some of its many paths, or if your dad is a sports guy, take him golfing in the park’s golf course.

After all that excitement you’re sure to be hungry again, so head on down to The Ridgewood Ale House, located at 57-38 Myrtle Ave., for some dinner and brews. The Ridgewood Ale House offers a fantastic menu filled with wood fired pizzas, sandwiches and wraps, pastas and more. Be sure to check out the game and grab a few beers at their sports bar.

Don’t let the fun stop after the game ends, take a trip to Cinemart Cinemas, located at 106-03 Metropolitan Ave., in Forest Hills. With their affordable ticket prices and newly renovated theaters, which feature brand-new VIP luxury leather recliners, this theater is a diamond in the rough.

When the movie lets out, be sure to end a great Father’s Day by heading next door to the famous Eddie’s Sweet Shop, located at 105-29 Metropolitan Ave., and treat Dad to some ice cream, frozen yogurt, sundae or a milkshake.
