A Glendale woman has died of the injuries she sustained after being hit by a vehicle back in May, police said.

According to police, Maryalice Damico, 76, of 62nd Street in Glendale, was found lying in the street with head trauma at the intersection of Myrtle Avenue and Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood on Saturday, May 14, at approximately 9:50 a.m.

EMS units and officers from the 104th Precinct responded to the scene and Damico was transported to Elmhurst Hospital, where she died on Tuesday, July 5.

A preliminary investigation into the incident revealed that a 36-year-old female driver of a 2009 Nissan Versa was travelling southbound on Fresh Pond Road and attempted to make a left turn onto Myrtle Avenue when she struck Damico. The operator of the vehicle remained at the scene.

The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is currently investigating the incident.
