Astoria, get ready for some JLo sighting today as the star will be filming scenes from a TV drama literally on your block.
The cast and crew of NBC’s crime drama TV show “Shades of Blue,” have been reported to film today right underneath Astoria’s elevated subway tracks, at the intersection of 31st Road and 31st Avenue.
It is unclear whether Lopez will film any action scenes in Astoria — in any case be on a lookout for the 47-year-old star.
In “Shades of Blue,” Jennifer Lopez plays Harlee Santos, who is a single mother to a teenage daughter and a NYPD detective, forced to work with the FBI’s anti-corruption task force, while dealing with her own financial and family problems.
The first season of Shades of Blue ran from January through March this year, and the network ordered 13 additional episodes for the second season. Filming of the second season began in June in New York.
