A young couple wanted for a violent home invasion in Washington State earlier this year were found by NYPD detectives hiding out in a Middle Village home last week.

Chloe Fontaine, 24, and Mateusz Rudnik, 27, were taken into custody on Dec. 9 by members of the NYPD Warrant Division at Rudnik’s last known place of residence on 58th Road between 76th and 77th streets.

Both Fontaine and Rudnik were said to reside in Washington State and have ties to Seattle and Portland, OR. According to law enforcement sources, they fled the Pacific Northwest after they allegedly shot and stabbed two people while robbing a home in Thurston County, WA, on Sept. 11 of this year.

A bulletin from the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office noted that Rudnik allegedly shot the homeowner and another resident with a semi-automatic handgun. Fontaine then allegedly stabbed the homeowner four times about the head, back and side.

A warrant was issued for their arrest on Dec. 1. Rudnik was last seen in Seattle on the night of Sept. 15; police in Washington State believed at the time they were heading to Portland, where Fontaine is said to have relatives.

However, information obtained by detectives led police to the Middle Village home last Friday, where the two suspects were found sleeping in a bedroom. Police recovered from the location a loaded Taurus handgun.

Rudnik and Fontaine are being held in Queens pending extradition to Washington State, where they face first-degree charges of robbery and assault, as well as a count of unlawful imprisonment.
