Man sought for slashing victim outside a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Jackson Heights

Police are searching for a man who cut a man’s face outside of a fast food chain in Jackson Heights over a month ago.

According to published sources, it was reported to police that on Thursday, Nov. 10 at approximately 9:05 p.m., the victim was standing outside of a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) located at 87-15 Northern Boulevard with his girlfriend and his mother when they were approached by two individuals and got into an argument.

According to police, the fight started when one of the men asked, “Do you have a problem?” which led to a verbal argument between the two parties. The fight escalated when a man pulled out an unknown sharp object and slashed the victim in the face.

The victim suffered a laceration to the left cheek and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in serious but stable condition. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Police have released a surveillance video of the suspect inside the KFC.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 20 and 25 years old, standing 6 feet, 2 inches tall with cornrows and shoulder length braids. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweater, a light colored knit cap, light blue jeans and dark colored sneakers.
