Crook swipes a book bag and laptop computer from a student at LaGuardia College library

Police are looking for a man who stole a woman’s book bag from the library at LaGuardia Community College last month.

On Dec. 15 at noon, the man entered 31-10 Thomson Ave. in Long Island City and took a book bag from a 20-year-old student’s chair. The bag contained an Apple MacBook, charger, headphones and a case.

The individual is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old and last seen wearing a black jacket, a multicolored scarf, white shirt and dark-colored pants.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.
