It’s that time of year again when young girls across Queens start thinking about one of the biggest nights of their lives: the prom.

Now you can help send a girl to her prom in style by donating an elegant dress to the Joan England’s 4th Annual PROMises/Moves & Motions Prom Dress Drive.

This year the annual PROMises Prom Dress Drive has teamed up with Moves & Motions Dance Studio, said Christine Nelson, daughter of Joan England, who founded the PROMises Prom Dress Drive. Three of the dance studio’s locations, in Middle VillageGlendale and Manhasset, Long Island, will serve as drop-off locations.

Women can donate their clean, gently used gowns, dresses, shoes and accessories to help make a young girl’s prom dream come true.

“Take a look in your closet,” Nelson said. “If you only donate one dress, that’s a beautiful thing. [We are] also accepting nice shoes, accessories, etc. We collected over 420 dresses two years ago, and we want to beat that this year.”

Drop off locations will be the Moves & Motions Dance Studio in Glendale located at 70-20 88th St., Middle Village located at 74-02 Eliot Ave., and Manhasset, located at 47 Manhasset Ave. Each location is accepting donations on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

There are even Manhattan drop-off locations at Background Inc., located at 601 W. 26th St. (near West Side Highway) Floor 2M, and Sylvia Fay/Lee Genick & Associates Casting located at 420 West End Ave., Upper West Side, Ground Floor.

Donations will be collected now through Mar. 25.

This year’s prom dress selection event will take place on Saturday, April 22, from noon to 4 p.m. at Williamsburg Preparatory School in the Van Ardsdale Campus located at 257 N. Sixth St.
