Firefighters on the scene at Powells Cove Boulevard in Whitestone.

Firefighters were on the scene at a Whitestone condominium complex early this morning to quickly extinguish a one-alarm blaze.

FDNY units responded to a fire at the Wildflower Estates complex located at 168th Street and Powells Cove Boulevard, in the Beechhurst section of the neighborhood, at 6:04 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, according to Fire Department sources. The fire was brought under control at 6:46 a.m.

 

One firefighter was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, sources said.

According to an FDNY spokesperson, the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
