Robbers stalk and then pull a knife on an Astoria senior inside his apartment building

Police are looking for two men who robbed a senior citizen in Astoria at knifepoint on Saturday.

According to police, the two suspects entered an apartment building in the vicinity of 21st Street and 36th Avenue at about 6:42 p.m. on March 25. They followed the 83-year-old victim into an elevator and one suspect displayed a knife and said, “Don’t make a noise” while the second suspect proceeded to rob him.

The duo stole $20 and a cellphone and fled to an unknown location. There were no reported injuries.

The first suspect is described as a black male who was last seen wearing black sneakers, black jeans and a dark hooded shirt.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male who was last seen wearing grey hooded jacket, skull cap, black backpack, black sneakers and blue jeans.
