Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner. Have you figured out how you’re celebrating yet?

Cinco de Mayo marks the anniversary of the Mexican Army’s defeat of the French forces of Napoleon III at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. While still a relatively minor holiday in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo has evolved into a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage that is widely celebrated in America.

There are plenty of ways you can celebrate Cinco de Mayo, but most of them will definitely include great food, music and margaritas. Here are a few places in Queens where you can celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

1. Cinco de Mayo, 42-29 Bell Blvd., Bayside

What better place could there be to celebrate Cinco de Mayo than at Cinco de Mayo? Whether you’re eating in or taking out, Cinco de Mayo on Bell Boulevard is a great place to celebrate the day. Come by and try their signature paella, Bistec a la Tampiqueña or their guacamole and nachos; you won’t be disappointed.

2. El Coyote, 80-18 Northern Blvd., Jackson Heights

Taste authentic Mexican food and party “like there’s no mañana” at El Coyote in Jackson Heights! El Coyote will be offering a night of great fun and delicious food this Cinco de Mayo. They will also be bringing in a live DJ for the night, so you can dance the night away while you enjoy their chimichangas, fajitas and margaritas.

3. B.B.’s Pub & Grill, 171-57 46th Ave., Flushing

Starting at 9 p.m., B.B.’s Pub & Grill in Flushing is the place to be this Cinco de Mayo. They are hosting a special “Cinco de Mayo After Dark,” which will not only be featuring great eats and drinks, but also live music from the band After Dark, a group of experienced tour veterans that will rock the night away with assorted rhythms and grooves. Added bonus: since Cinco de Mayo falls on a Friday this year, you can stay until the party is done, which goes until 1 a.m.

4. Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden, 29-19 24th Ave., Astoria

This year, Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden is offering a unique way to celebrate all things Mexican during Cinco de Mayo: quiet clubbing! All participants get a set of headphones and gets their choice of music to listen to from three DJs who will be battling for your attention. Dance the night away at this one of a kind experience!

5. Bourbon Street, 40-12 Bell Blvd., Bayside

No one throws a party quite like Bourbon Street. Come by the main bar for $2 chicken or pork tacos, $4 shrimp tacos and $5 tuna tacos and wash them down with a Corona Extra or Jose Cuervo, which they’ll be having specials on all night. Swing by at 10 p.m. and experience DJ Johnnybombs spinning some sick beats to keep the party going.
