A Queens man died after being struck by a vehicle while walking across Cross Bay Boulevard, according to the authorities.

Police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian hit on Cross Bay Boulevard at 160th Avenue Sunday.

Upon arrival, officers found an 89-year-old male lying on the roadway with trauma to the head. EMS responded to the location and took the man to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead Sunday, according to police.

He was identified by police as Robert Falk, who lived on 162nd Avenue.

Further investigation by the NYPD’s Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that Falk was crossing Cross Bay Boulevard in the north crosswalk from west to east. At that time, a 2012 Honda Pilot, operated by a 39-year-old man, was traveling eastbound on 160th Avenue and made a left turn onto north bound Cross Bay Boulevard, striking the pedestrian with the right front bumper area and causing him to fall to the ground, according to police. The operator of the vehicle remained at the scene.

There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
