JAMAICA — Two people were shot dead and a man was wounded in Jamaica early Wednesday morning, police said.

According to police, at about 3:38 a.m. they responded to a 911 call about a female shot in front of 107-07 170 St. on Jamaica. Once the police arrived at the scene, they found that the 27-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to the head. The Emergency Medical Service then pronounced her dead at the scene.

Authorities also determined that a 28-year-old man had multiple gunshot wounds to his back, while a 32-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his arm. EMS took them both to Jamaica Hospital, where the 28-year-old man was later pronounced dead. Police said the 32-year-old male is in stable condition.

Police had not arrested anyone and the double homicide investigation was ongoing. The identities of the 28-year-old male and 27-year-old female have not been released pending family notifications, police said.
