Police are looking for a man who broke into a Corona church and stole musical instruments earlier this week.

According to police, at 2:25 a.m. on Aug. 15, an unknown man entered Canaan Baptist Church, located at 35-23 108th St., by unlocking the side door with an unknown object. Once inside, the suspect was caught on camera stealing $2,300 worth of musical instruments.

The burglar then fled the location in an unknown direction. The incident was reported to the 115th Precinct.

The suspect is described as a black man with a dark complexion and between the ages of 30 and 40 years old. He was last seen wearing a yellow raincoat and jeans.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS or for Spanish 888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website or texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
