The NYPD is searching for two armed men who allegedly robbed three gas stations in three Queens neighborhoods in the same morning last week. The two suspects entered a BP service station at 59-36 Maurice Ave. in Middle Village just after 1:30 a.m. Sept. 24 and displayed a small firearm to the employee inside before making off with $500 in cash, police said.
Less than half an hour later, the two entered a Mobil gas station located at 69-08 Eliot Ave. in Maspeth and once again showed the weapon to an employee before fleeing with $1,000 in cash, according to the NYPD. At 5:20 a.m. the duo appeared at a Shell station at 92-10 Astoria Blvd., in East Elmhurst, flashed the weapon again and made off with $1,000 in cash, police said.
The two black men wore wigs during the heists, police said. One was wearing a white long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, red sneakers and a short black wig, while the other was wearing a white Lacoste baseball cap, a blue long-sleeved shirt, blue jean shorts, black sneakers and a long black or red wig, police said.
