A cyclist was pinned against a parked car after being struck by driver in a hit-and-run in Middle Village Tuesday night.

According to police, at around 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 17, a 55-year-old man was walking with his bike down Juniper Valley Road near 75th Place when he was struck by an oncoming driver, who fled the scene after striking the victim.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Elmhurst Hospital, where police say he is in critical condition.

Authorities confirmed that the hit-and-run vehicle a black Jeep Liberty SUV.
