A Middle Village man who allegedly kept his male companion tied to his bed and injected him with drugs for nearly two weeks is now behind bars, prosecutors announced.

Thomas Sellers, 41, allegedly told the 104th Precinct Detective Squad that he did it to detoxify his friend, whom he claimed was addicted to heroin, as noted in the criminal complaint.

Law enforcement sources said the trouble began at 3 p.m. on Oct. 25, when the victim arrived at Sellers’ home on Admiral Avenue near 65th Street. Upon arriving, Sellers allegedly offered to help the victim detox from heroin addiction, and the victim agreed.

Authorities said that Sellers subsequently tied the man to the bed and injected his arms and buttocks with various substances. Though the victim made repeated requests to be let go, prosecutors noted, Sellers allegedly refused to comply and kept restraining and drugging the man over the next two weeks.

On Nov. 5, the criminal complaint noted, the victim was able to retrieve his cellphone and contact his sister, who picked him up and contacted police.

During questioning, the complaint noted, Sellers said that he allegedly injected into his friend Vitamin B12 and steroids in order to keep his body in shape.

Sellers was charged on Nov. 11 with unlawful imprisonment and attempted unauthorized practice, both misdemeanor charges. Court records indicated that he was ordered held on $10,000 cash or $75,000 bond, and is due back in court on Nov. 17.
