Students from each grade at Redeemer Lutheran School with the shoeboxes of supplies they sent to children overseas.

The students at Redeemer Lutheran School, located at 69-26 Cooper Ave. in Glendale, are helping to make the holidays special for children overseas.

All the students at the school — which goes from pre-K all the way to eighth grade — participated in the annual Operation Christmas Child donation program as part of Samaritan’s Purse, which will deliver much-needed supplies to children overseas.

In all, the students at Redeemer Lutheran School filled 123 shoeboxes with small toys, school supplies, clothes, cleaning supplies and hygiene products. These shoeboxes have now been shipped out and will reach their final destinations by the holidays.
