See which Queens neighborhood received the most snow during the ‘bomb cyclone’

The bomb cyclone came, saw and conquered the northeast United States, but with a deep freeze in place, we’ll be seeing around Queens for quite some time.

The National Weather Service kept track of how much snow had been falling in Queens. The final readings found that Howard Beach saw the highest amount of snowfall with 13.2 inches, as of 6:30 p.m. last night.

Coming in at number two with 12.4 inches of snow was Bayside. Middle Village and parts of Ozone Park each had 12.3 inches of snow each, with Jackson Heights and Maspeth not too far behind with 12 inches of snow.

Whitestone originally had 7.3 inches of snow, however by 6 p.m. on Jan. 4, the total snowfall raised to 10.7 inches.

Earlier in the day, the National Weather Service recorded the snowfall in other Queens neighborhoods. At 3:15 p.m., Rego Park has seen the most snowfall with 12 inches. At 2:58 p.m., Flushing had 7.5 inches of snow and at 3:44 p.m., Little Neck had 9.5 inches of snow on the ground.

At 7 p.m. on Jan. 4, JFK Airport and LaGuardia Airport reportedly had 8 inches and 7.4 inches of snow, respectively.
