One of the guns confiscated in the Jan. 12 incident in Flushing

Cops cuffed a Flushing man and confiscated two guns and a knife in the downtown area of the neighborhood early this morning.

On Jan. 12 at around 3:35 a.m., officers from the 109th Precinct responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of 36th Avenue and College Point Boulevard.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered 28-year-old Jorman Argueta Valle, a Flushing resident, in possession of a loaded defaced Kodiak .380 handgun, law enforcement sources said. Valle then resisted arrest by pulling away from officers and flailing his arms, according to authorities.

After police cuffed the suspect, they discovered a second loaded Smith and Wesson .40 caliber handgun with an extended magazine inside of a construction site adjacent to the location. Valle was also discovered to be in possession of a gravity knife.

Valle, who lives on Sanford Avenue, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, menacing, resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration.

The 109th Precinct took to Twitter to report the arrest.
