Cops need your help in finding two would-be bandits who shocked a man with a stun gun and assaulted him in Corona earlier this month.

Law enforcement sources said the robbery attempt occurred at 1 a.m. on April 15 inside an apartment building in the vicinity of 108th Street and 38th Avenue.

According to authorities, the 40-year-old victim left his apartment when he noticed a package at his doorstep. When he reached down to pick it up, the two suspects — both of whom stand about 6 feet tall and were last seen wearing multicolored motorcycle helmets and dark clothing — emerged from the hallway stairwell and attacked him.

Police said the duo shoved and restrained the man, then zapped him in the chest with a stun gun. The man’s wife then came out of the residence and screamed, which startled the robbers. The crooks then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 115th Precinct responded to the incident. The victim suffered small lacerations to his chest as well as an abrasion and bruising, but refused medical attention at the scene.

On April 23, police released video footage of the suspects walking into the apartment building and riding inside an elevator.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA). Tips can also be sent to the Crime Stoppers website or by text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
