Cops are looking for a crook who broke into a Hindu house of worship in South Richmond Hill and stole cash from the collection box.

According to police, at 3:30 a.m. on April 24, an unknown man broke into Tulsi Mandir, located at 103-26 111th St., through the side door. Once inside, the suspect took $3,000 from the collection box and fled the scene.

Police released a surveillance video of the suspect at the location:

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
