Cops are looking for a crook who broke into a Hindu house of worship in South Richmond Hill and stole cash from the collection box.

According to police, at 3:30 a.m. on April 24, an unknown man broke into Tulsi Mandir, located at 103-26 111th St., through the side door. Once inside, the suspect took $3,000 from the collection box and fled the scene.

Police released a surveillance video of the suspect at the location:

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
