The pictured suspect is wanted for burglary in the 104th Precinct.

Officers from the 104th Precinct are looking for a woman suspected of stealing a box of food from an apartment building in Ridgewood.

Police said the theft occurred at 5 p.m. on April 27 at a building on Wyckoff Avenue, where the suspect entered through the front door. Once inside, authorities said, the suspect allegedly took a box with groceries and other items from a common area.

Sources familiar with the investigation said the suspect also stole the “elevator blanket” that had been draped on the walls inside the elevator to protect the walls from damage.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect inside the elevator and outside the building carrying a box with the logo of “Brandless,” an e-commerce company that manufactures and sells food, personal care items and household supplies.

The suspect can be seen wearing sightly different clothing in each of the photos, and police said that investigators did not specify when a change of clothes might have taken place.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic woman who was seen in the first photo wearing a black hat with the word “Boss” on the front, a black sweatshirt, black pants and black sandals. In the photo inside the elevator, the suspect is seen wearing blue jeans, a gray sweatshirt and a black coat.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
