The suspect pictured is wanted for stealing 22 bottles of Mucinex from a Walgreens in Middle Village on April 27.

Flu season is over now, but don’t tell that to this Middle Village larceny suspect who recently ripped off hundreds of dollars worth of cough syrup from a local store.

According to police, the suspect entered the Walgreens near Elliot Avenue and 80th Street at approximately 8:18 p.m. on April 27. Once inside, the suspect was seen by a witness taking 22 bottles of Mucinex from a store shelf and then fled the store without paying.

On Walgreens’ website, the cost of one bottle of Mucinex is approximately $15, which would make the congested thief’s crime worth roughly $330.

The 104th Precinct released a photo of the suspect on Twitter from the store’s surveillance cameras, but there is no official description of the suspect available.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to notify the 104th Precinct Detective Squad at 718-386-2723, or Detective Borough Queens North at 718-520-9200. All calls are kept confidential.
